Old Fashioned (bare rooted)
Often seen in photos as the perfect Old Fashioned rose, Charles de Mills is the largest Gallica rose of its family, flowering in mid-summer. The flowers are made up of a multitude of rich glowing purple petals with crimson highlights. The velvety flowers are slightly scented and open to an impressive 8cm across, sometimes when fully opened the flower exposes a dark green eye. The arching canes reach 150cm and have very few prickles. Foliage is dark green. It was bred before 1790.
